If Only You Had Sent Flowers, 2017
Dry pigments on Arches paper (Indian Yellow and graphite powder), recycled paper, 183 x 38 x 38cm
Dans le cadre de l'Atelier résidence du Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec à Bâle

Over the course of a residency at the Atelier Mondial in Basel, Switzerland, I developed an obsession for second hand stores... I became interested in sand roses for their beauty as well as the fascinating conditions of their formation. Out of the most arid evaporation processes the crystals construct intricate architectures. If Only You Had Sent Flowers references to a love that emerged from the most difficult circonstances and the paper cones in which florists usually wrap roses into.
